Made from Eucalyptus, Tencel is 50% more moisture absorbent then natural Cotton. The moisture passes from fibre to fibre dissipating until wetness eventually evaporates. As a mattress protector and pillow protector, it is perfect because the average human being looses about a litre to a litre and a half of fluid each night. Bacteria, dust mites, lice and other nasties grow, breed and incubate their eggs in warm moist environments such as bed linen. 

We  spend a third of our lives in bed and the average human tosses and turns 80 to 140 times a night...making the performance of the fibres you use in bed so important!

Tencel fibre uses about 10 times less water to produce than in Cotton production and the process is a 360 degree sustainable method, even the waste from the trees get used to power the plant.   No pesticides are required and it can be grown on marginal land.
