So subtle...so chic!  This bedroom featured in Elle Decor makes tradition look both fresh and unconventional whilst still being oh so comfortable.  I want to go spend a weekend in this bedroom  where TVs and ipads are nowhere to be found.  

Here’s how to get the look...

• Think neutral, but not bland.  While colour is sparse,  there is plenty of contrast between dark and light tones
• The striped rug anchors the whole space.  Stripes  feel contemporary and traditional while adding  pattern for visual interest.
• Books Books Books!  Lots of them in a bedroom make it feel like a real retreat...a place to escape to, not just sleep.
• An heirloom like this chair adds character and soul.  If you can’t wrestle one off your Nana, fossick around some vintage shops for something crusty and interesting.
• Love the vertical stack of pictures in modern frames...keeps this space from being too cutesy country.
