Eco Chic is an online furniture shop showcasing eco friendly furniture and homewares throughout Australia, founded and created by interior designers Cris Bucknall and Paula Breckman.

We love home furnishings, but feel bad about the impact they can have on the environment. We don't want to sacrifice style, so why should our customers? If you associate buying green furniture with tree slab tables and handmade quilts, then think again! Our online furniture shop is a little less Birkenstock and a little more Balenciaga!

When you buy eco friendly furniture from Eco Chic, it is a sensitive purchase, but sexy at the same time. It is high time people were offered quality furniture that is responsible. We want people to instantly say, ‘It’s gorgeous!’ and then feel good about the fact that it's green furniture and an earth friendly product.

About a year ago, we recognised that there were several gaps in the market that no national furniture company was filling:

Firstly, there is the demand for eco friendly products and sustainable furniture.

Secondly, there is a growing population that likes to shop from home. They’d rather browse buy furniture online after dinner than fight weekend traffic. Our online furniture sales allow people to take all the stress out of shopping for home furnishings and spend more time doing the things they love.

Lastly, there are the regional customers who have the resources and the desire for quality furniture, but don’t have access to a chic furniture shop nearby. Eco Chic ships its eco friendly furniture and home accessories all over Australia and we charge as little shipping as possible.

The eclectic style of Eco Chic reflects our international backgrounds. Cris started out as a set designer in Hollywood before travelling to Fiji and then Australia designing hotels and resorts. She started Eco Chic as on offshoot of her interior design company MEI Mannigan Edwards International. 

Paula travelled all around the world as a music promoter before settling in Australia and turning her hand to interior design and display design.

Our furniture and homewares ranges run from modern furniture to vintage furniture, but everything works back together and different pieces are meant to be mixed and matched. Our clients tell us they are tired of seeing the same furniture over and over in every store! They want something unique.” Eco Chic offers a comprehensive contemporary furniture selection from sofas to accessories, lamps to bedding...a complete one-stop home furnishings shop.

“But I can’t see the furniture in person, feel it, or sit on it...what if I hate it?!”, we hear you say! We understand that people feel nervous ordering online furniture...what if your new green furniture doesn’t look right in person or doesn’t fit? You can return or exchange it no questions asked. We’ve also kept shipping charges to a minimum so you aren’t disadvantaged when you buy furniture online. A typical retail furniture shop charges for delivery anyway!
